The other driver’s car insurance company’s main objective is to pay as little as possible.  Often times the other driver’s insurance company will contact you in order to obtain a statement that will lock you into a version of certain events, including the extent of your injuries, in order to minimize your claim.  However, there is no requirement that you speak with the other driver’s insurance company.  As such, it is important that you do not speak with the other driver’s insurance company.  Rather, politely inform the other party’s insurance company that your attorney or your insurance company’s adjuster will contact them on you behalf to answer any questions.
